Expanding the reach of your brand and the extent of your customer base is much more doable when you focus on engagement.
When current customers or followers share a post or other content from your business’s page, you reach significantly more people than you would’ve on your own.
This means that the more users that share your post, the further reach you get out of it! For this reason, many companies will post about giveaways and deals that users can receive in return for sharing your post.
Not only will this encourage more engagement, but it often makes users more comfortable, involved, and familiar with your brand.

It isn’t enough for customers to buy from you on occasion, you need to earn their support!
Engagement with the customers is the best way to get this and will often result in a stronger impact on your customer base as well.
If you aren’t posting content that makes your followers want to interact in some way, even if it’s just liking your post, you likely need to make some changes.

Sometimes, even with advertisements, we assume that sales versus no sales is the only determination of if it is successful or not. However, it’s important to keep track of not just how many clicks they receive, but what the engagement levels are.
For one, not every post you make is going to result in a sale. Sometimes it’s about taking the necessary steps and implementing strategies that result in higher engagement to further build relationships with your audience.
5. Increased sales and following
Increasing sales is a goal for any business, and working on your engagement is a great pipeline to doing that.
Increased engagement often results in higher trust, stronger relationships, and tends to bring in a stronger following for you as well.
Growing your following with engagement will bring in those consumers that you haven’t quite reached yet, and it will put you in range to grow the relationships there and earn a sale.
In business, we have to remember that a single sale here and there won’t be your best option in the long-run. The best thing to do is grow your engagement with your following because doing this is much more likely to earn you those highly sought-after loyal customers!
