Promotional products can be incredibly engaging. In fact, they are the only advertising medium which can reach all 5 of the senses - sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste. They can be exciting. They can be nostalgic. They can bring joy.
Promotional products can be awesome if you use a little common sense and spend some time thinking about who you want receiving them. They can help forge a bond between your brand and your customers. They will keep your company top of mind. They continue to advertise for your company long after they are purchased.
Below are 5 labels often used for traditional advertising for which don't hold true for promotional products. If you disagree, it's highly likely you are doing it wrong.
Too often I receive calls from clients or new prospects needing promotional products in a rush for an upcoming trade show or event.
Usually, that last minute call is because promotional products were never considered until the very end.
While we do offer rush promotional items as quickly as same day production, these items often lose their effectiveness if they are treated as an afterthought with no plan.
If you are buying promotional items only to randomly give them away at your next trade show, you're missing a huge opportunity to create a return on these investments. If simply handed out at random to every schmuck who passes your trade show booth, these items will likely not have the effect desired, which is to help those attendees remember your company.
Below I’ve referenced 6 different advertising agencies you should ditch immediately. Take a few minutes to evaluate your current agency for correlations. If your current marketing firm seems to fit these six agencies below, you’re likely losing market share to your competitors. We are in an age of advertising where it is mandatory to be very different from your competition. Doing the same thing you’ve done for the past 10 years won’t cut it anymore. It’s time to be bold. Be brave. It’s time for change.
Do you ever feel like you need a little more qi in your life?
What is qi?
Pronounced CHē. Qi is a word that stems from the Chinese (Mandarin dialect) which literally translated means air or breath. However, the definition is "the circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine" - reference Google Dictionary. I often feel I could use a little more "life force" to get through my daily grind!

Each year, I have the privilege of attending the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, which is the largest promotional products trade show in the world. PPAI Expo 2018 was host to over 1200 suppliers with nearly 25,000 attendees and more than 250,000 promotional products showcased!
Not only am I able to connect with existing suppliers for Perfect Imprints, but I’m also able to connect with new suppliers within the industry. This helps expand our product offering and strengthen existing relationships with our vendors.
One major benefit of the thousands of exhibitors at PPAI Expo is that I’m able to identify trending promotional products within the marketplace, allowing Perfect Imprints to better serve our clients.
Based on the recent exhibiting products at PPAI Expo 2018, I’ve identified the following promos as hot and trending for 2018.
Note: Some of my favs are not available yet on our website because they are so new. For those productions, you'll see (Link coming soon). I'll be updating with the links as soon as they are available in the coming weeks.
2018 Hot and Trending Promotional Products
When buying promotional products, there are approximately 25,000 distributors in the United States. That means you have virtually an unlimited number of choices.
However, not all distributors are the best choice. You have to choose the right promotional products firm for your company.
When it comes to getting the job done right and getting the most out of your investments, an experienced promotional products firm is key. Additionally, you want a firm that is committed to providing the best options to meet your goals. It can't be about meeting the firm's sales goals, but it MUST be all about meeting your needs (as the client).
Promotional products have become staples in marketing plans for small, medium, and large companies. That's because they work. They are tangible marketing pieces which are reused often, reminding the recipients about the advertising business.
Past trends were to plaster your company logo loud and proud on the front of products so your business is boldly seen by not only the person using that item, but also everyone around them.
While that strategy can be effective when utilized properly, there is a new trend.
Trade shows can be a chaotic whirlwind for any business if you are not prepared. The shear amount of time and detail that is required before, during and even after the trade show will have a significant impact on how much your business will potentially gain or lose as a result. Everything from the table cloth you use to the signs you display and even the items you give away, should be chosen with purpose and planned efficiently. The results of your planning can put your business on a level you may have not even thought possible; You could land the biggest client your business has ever had! On the other hand, a lack of planning can result in a tarnished reputation, bad reviews and loss of future clients.
I recently attended an industry trade show in Las Vegas, My mission was to find the Latest and Hottest Trending Promotional Items of 2017. In an industry with over 3,900 suppliers and hundreds of thousands of products this was no easy task.
But…I discovered NailSnaps. The industry’s only salon quality vinyl nail decal beauty brand.
In today’s Instagram-Pinterest world, Nail art or should I say #Nails has reach over 100 million posts and climbing. As one of the top 5 most shared posts, tweets, and pics on social media, Nails are how millennial women connect and share the love of fashion, enthusiasm for sports, and even their political views. This opens the marketing question, "Why isn't your brand using these products?"
Consumers today expect brands to reach them on a personal level
The Hype: NailSnaps claims to be the world’s best way to transform brand images into salon-quality nail wraps that can be applied at home in-minutes.
